Lost Car Keys in Peterborough – All Keys Lost Replacement
Lost every key to your car or van? It feels like a disaster, but it is a job we handle regularly. We come to your vehicle, cut a new key and programme it to your car's immobiliser on the spot.
How an all-keys-lost job works
- Call or WhatsApp us with your registration, make, model and year. A photo of the car's dashboard or the spare remote (if you have one) helps.
- Get a clear quote before we set off. Every vehicle is different, so we price each one individually and confirm the cost with you first.
- We come to you. Home, work, a car park or the roadside. We bring cutting and programming equipment, so the car usually does not need recovering to a dealer.
- Proof of ownership. We will ask for photo ID and proof the vehicle is yours (for example the V5C logbook). It protects you and it protects the car.
- Key cut, programmed and tested. Where the vehicle allows, we also remove the lost keys from the car's memory so they can no longer start it.
If we can make a key from nothing, a spare is easy
Making a key when you have no key to copy is the hardest version of the job. That means adding a spare while you still have a working key is the simple version. Most people only order a spare after the stress of losing the last one. We would rather you did it now: a spare is usually quicker, cheaper and far less stressful than an all-keys-lost call-out. Simple spare keys start at £60. See spare car keys.
Makes and models
We cover the large majority of cars and vans. If a key is available on the trade and aftermarket market for your vehicle, we can normally supply and programme it. Some newer or high-security models need specific parts or approvals, so the quickest way to get a straight answer is to message us your registration.
Lost Car Keys (All Keys Lost): questions
Can you make a car key if I have lost all of them?
Yes. All-keys-lost is a core part of what AutoKey does. We cut and programme a new key at your vehicle for most makes and models, and we confirm what is possible when you send us your registration.
Do I need to have my car towed to a dealer?
Usually not. In most cases we complete the job where the vehicle is parked, which saves recovery costs and waiting for a dealer appointment.
What do you need from me?
Your vehicle registration, make, model and year, plus photo ID and proof of ownership (such as the V5C logbook or a similar document) before we cut or programme a key.
